OUR BIOLOGICAL CORRIDOR
Located off the main road that runs from Chacarita to Puerto Jimenez, this rainforest neighborhood is enveloped by primary rainforest on the Osa Peninsula. The area serves as a crucial corridor linking the Corcovado National Park and Piedras Blancas National Park, providing essential forest and mangrove habitat for migratory birds and other wildlife. With close to 400 species recorded, the region is renowned as one of the best bird-watching locations in Costa Rica, including iconic species such as Scarlet Macaws, toucans, and parrots. Visitors can expect a unique birding experience due to the combination of birds from different habitats.
Jana Schulz, also known as ‘Jana of the Jungle,’ fell in love with the Magical Mogos Waterfalls during her first visit in 1996 and purchased the property in 2005. Over the years, Jana has hosted numerous local and foreign friends at the waterfalls, and all visitors have been astonished by the unique experience. Due to the positive feedback received, Jana decided to come out of retirement and share the wonder of the Magical Mogos Waterfalls with the public.
